Gender bias

Had to change a tyre on my car.
When i say change, i really mean watch Esther speedily do everything while i struggle to recollect some vague memory from years ago, of being taught how to change a tyre…standing next to my car in the driveway with dad, his voice echoing in my head, now this is VERY important, one day you will NEED TO KNOW this…

Thankfully when the unfortunate time came i happened to have a member of the SES with me!
Who had at the age of 9  participated in tyre changing competitions!
Ah the life of a rural Tasmanian child.

Another story comes to mind.
I smashed my laptop screen, took it to principle computers (who quoted me $200 less than everywhere else in town).
When i drop it off to them, the guy asks for the password i use after it starts up. Which i willingly give without a second thought.
Now i realise, there is a ‘guest’ login they could’ve used…
And they’re only fixing the screen! So why do they need to access my desktop, isn’t it enough to see the start up screen..

When i got it back i’m sure he looked guilty. lol.
But he didn’t charge me the $50 for labor. So unless i just looked really pov, there are some upsides to being a young female.
