The seat of the soul

On reverence.
We view life as cheap. Without reverence for life we exploit…the earth, our friendships. We see others as something to satisfy our emotion/physical needs. Business, education, sex, politics – all without reverence are easily reduced to merely using others.
To treat the earth as we please is arrogance.
We believe we are conscious and the Universe isn’t..

Reverence is:
Patience. Impatience is the desire to have my needs met first.
To engage in a form and depth of contact with life that is well beyond the shell of form, and into essence (come again? o_O)
Contact with the essence of each person/animal/plant.
To honour who a person/thing truly is, beyond their outer shell.
Accepting the sacredness of life and that all life is of value.
Different to respect, as respect is a judgement we make in response to our perception of qualities we admire. Qualities differ among cultures, sub culture, time etc. Reverence is a universal attitude, a perception.
Reverence holds high the value of life.
It means we walk Earth with a sense of gratitude. Rather than regretting we’re here.
